ROCK STAR JEWELRY: MARTHA DRIVER

Our very own Fashion Insider and Susan G. Komen Save "The Girls" Bras For The Cause Sponsor, Sydney Chavez dishes about Rock Star Jewelry:

Martha Driver from Rock Star Jewelry is on top of Spring 09 accessory trends. Her statement necklaces made from agate, semi-precious stones and silver are exotic and affordable. Who can’t appreciate that in this economy? Prices range from $120-200 and that’s a steal considering brands like Barneys NY and Gucci are showing similar styles fro $780-1200+. The entire Spring 2009 Rock Star Jewelry collection is available at Around The Block Gift Store in the Magnolia Village. These necklaces, bracelets and earrings are the perfect pieces to spice up jersey knit dresses for Spring and add charm to dark denim and a pair of leather boots.

BRAS FOR THE CAUSE

May 31st is Seattle’s Save “The Girls” 1st Annual Designer Bra Fashion Show.

May 31st is Seattle’s Save “The Girls” 1st Annual Designer Bra Fashion Show. Join us for a night to remember at Spitfire filled with fashion, food, entertainment, and wonderful prizes - all to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Little Black Dress Events & Productions will be rolling out the PINK carpet for over 400 + guests to raise money for this year’s beneficiary, the Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Let’s kick off the Susan G. Komen Race for The Cure by coming together on this special evening to bring inspiration, generate awareness, and support the cause.

Since its inception in 1982, Komen worldwide has raised over $1 billion for research, education and health services, making it the largest breast cancer charity in the world. Today, the Komen organization is recognized as the leading catalyst in the fight against breast cancer, with more than 100,000 volunteers working in a network of 125 U.S. and International Affiliates.

Currently, our Participating Sponsors are Spitfire, Gene Juarez Salon and Spas, Movin’ 92.5, and Opal. The signature presenters for Seattle’s Save “The Girls” will be Little Black Dress Event and Productions, created by Audrey Clark and Carli Smith, offering an array for all. LBD specializes in fashion shows, weddings, product launches, company parties, celebrations, anniversaries, promotional events, fundraisers, and even live concerts.
Bras for a Cause is all about celebrating the Seattle style, showcasing fabulous designed bras, as well as merchandise from supporting retailers in the fashion community, while raising support for breast cancer awareness. Fashion is everywhere and our mission is to remind everyone from all walks of life that their vision of beauty is a work of art through vendors, fashion, entertainment, trends, and a cause. Our goal is to generate excitement for the Seattle Fashion scene and help support local businesses while throwing a fantastic party in the spirit of giving back.

On Behalf of LBD Event and Productions and Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure we’re proud to present Seattle’s Save “The Girls” 1st Annual Designer Bra Fashion Show! LBD aims to support and honor the organization by donating a portion of the proceeds in addition to fostering awareness at the event.

To start off our Seattle Save “The Girls” Bras for a Cause, LBD and Opal will be hosting a kick off party on Wednesday May 20th, from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Light refreshments will be provided with a percentage of the proceeds benefitting the Komen foundation. You can purchase your tickets for the fashion show during the kick off party. Opal will be designing a one-of-a-kind bra for our lineup, in addition to that they are also a proud sponsor of Seattle’s Save “The Girls” 1st Annual Designer Bra Fashion Show; providing fabulous frocks for the many designs to hit the catwalk.
